About Me

Hello, my name is Alastair Duhs. I am an anger expert living in Auckland, New Zealand.

In the summer of 1992 I ran my first anger management program. Sitting in front of me were 25 angry men, all wanting to know from me how to control their anger and create a calm, loving and respectful relationship.

No pressure, of course.

At this time I was a naive 22 year old University student who only knew some basic anger management tools and techniques.

I don’t remember what I said that day.

But I do remember that in the next 30 years I sat in many rooms with thousands of men and women who wanted to know how to control their anger.

Over this time I got better and better at teaching anyone how to control their anger. Soon people I was working with were making changes in days that would have previously taken them weeks or even months to make.

At some point teaching anyone how to control their anger become easy for me, and learning how to control their anger became easy for the men and women I was working with.

Over the last 30 years I have taught over 10,000 men and women how to control their anger.

A Little Bit More About Me

Outside of work, I am passionate about being in nature in any way.

I love to swim, cycle and run as often as I can!

I also love to kayak around the beautiful coast of New Zealand. Over the last few years I have kayaked with pods of Orca, dolphins, seals and a Southern Right Whale!

I am also a keen triathlete, competing in 5 Ironman events and 20 half Ironman events. Right now I am probably training for my next Ironman or half-Ironman.

My other hobbies include playing chess and doing astronomy (yes, I'm pretty cool I know!).

On clear nights there's a good chance you'll catch me using my 22.5 inch telescope or pair of 16 inch binoculars-exploring the night sky with as much fascination as I did when I was a young child.

When I'm at home, I love designing websites, browsing the web, reading blogs, writing, doing research and working on projects.
